Application Middleware Engineer with French

For our customer, leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation we are seeking a proficient Application Middleware Support Engineer to join IT operations team. The selected engineer will be responsible for managing the middleware platform, including application and web servers, as well as message-oriented middleware.

 

Project information:

  • Location: Katowice or Kraków or Lublin or Opole or Wrocław (one from those locations to choose; hybrid model of work - once a week from the office)
  • Type of employment: employment contract
  • Project language: French and English

 

Your tasks:

  • Managing application patches to ensure system security and stability, including planning and applying necessary patches and upgrades.
  • Overseeing the deployment of applications such as Java EAR/WAR/JAR and their updates.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of applications to uphold performance and availability.
  • Analyzing and resolving incidents in line with SLA requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation for the respective applications.

Requirements:

  • Experience in administering application and web servers (e.g., WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx).
  • Familiarity with message-oriented technologies (preferably IBM MQ, Kafka) in terms of administration and flow definition.
  • Solid knowledge of operating systems (Linux and Windows), particularly in monitoring and troubleshooting performance and application-related issues.
  • Practical experience with containerization.
  • Ability to plan, prepare, and implement maintenance fixes and upgrades for middleware products.
  • Strong understanding of scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl).
  • Experience with clustering technologies and knowledge of high availability strategies and monitoring tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, both on-premise and in public clouds (practical experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure), including virtualization, networking, storage, containerization, and load balancing.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Managed File Transfers (MFT) technologies, including FTP servers and secure transfer components (SSL, encryption) from vendors such as Axway, IBM, or similar products (GoAnywhere, Control-M e-MFT, etc.).
  • Experience in working with APIs (REST and/or SOAP) and related products.
  • Familiarity with GitLab pipelines for CI/CD processes.
