For our customer, leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation we are looking for a Observability and Monitoring Tools Lead who will work on a project for a financial sector.

Your daily tasks:

  • Delivering technical assistance for system administration tasks such as monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to email, web servers, database management, backup procedures, and storage systems.
  • Conducting regular system and application health assessments throughout the monitoring infrastructure.
  • Ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of the monitoring system by maintaining and updating it, as well as adjusting monitoring settings for all managed systems as required.
  • Providing first level of support for agent install and decommission, agent reporting issue etc.
  • Working on standard changes for monitoring configurations.
  • Taking responsibility for resolving monitoring-related tickets and assists in onboarding new clients onto the monitoring platform.
  • Creating documentation adhering to established standards.
  • Planning and executing future upgrades, enhancements, and new application support installations in alignment with established roadmaps.
  • Collaborating with tool vendors to address critical issues effectively.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge about Splunk and Zabbix/Opsview architecture.
  • Proficiency in crafting Splunk language (SPL) searches for effective data retrieval and analysis.
  • Understanding Splunk integration with third party like log file integration, netsnmp, Add-ons.
  • Capability to construct Notable Event Aggregation Policies (NEAPs) and correlation searches within Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
  • Aptitude for designing custom dashboards in Splunk tailored to specific requirements.
  • Competence in outlining procedures to fulfil these requirements, encompassing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Usage Policies.
  • Strong command of the English language, equivalent to B2 proficiency level or higher.
